Non-Profits we SupportOur company has gone through some dramatic changes since June of 2010, and as a result of those changes, we’ve really had to re-focus on what is important as a company. Prior to June, we were a happy-go-lucky small business, doing well with a couple of large corporate accounts here in Atlanta. Well, life happened.
The owner of our little company had to get a kidney transplant, a life-changing surgery that threw us for a loop – but also put us on to an entirely different path. By the altruistic help of an amazing woman and a caring community, Chris received a kidney transplant on November 12th, 2010 and both he and his donor are doing well. We were also fortunate to be able to share our story in a podcast about how this blessing has transformed our lives and company:
Through this incredible journey, we as company realized that our role is not to simply make money and take care of our families – but to also be a contributing partner in our community. To this end, we decided as a company to take an active role in our communities and help in any way we can Non-Profit organizations that make a tangible difference for the people in their areas of concern.
Whiteboard Promotions is committed to assisting Non-Profits who demonstrate a genuine care for their local community, and make a significant impact into the lives of those whom they serve. We will continually work for the following Non-profits here in Georgia, both of which are near and dear to our hearts on a personal level:
- Georgia Transplant Foundation: A charitable foundation dedicated to the transplant community in Georgia, working to help alleviate the high costs associated with pre and post-transplant patients. For more information, go to: http://www.gatransplant.org/
- Georgia Autism Society: The Georgia chapter of the Autism Society is the leading resource of the Georgia Autism community in education, advocacy, services, research and support. The chapter services across all aspects of the Autism spectrum. For more information, go to: http://www.asaga.com
We are always open to assisting other community organizations, and will look to add others to our support roster on a regular basis. Please submit information on your non-profit to firstname.lastname@example.org, and we will review with our charitable committee.
